SHOWA BOEKI – a combination of the words SHOWA (shōwa), the name of the period from 1926 to 1989 and BOEKI (bōeki), (international) trade – is a wholesales company of Japanese consumer goods and import/export company. It is our mission to spread authentic and traditional Japanese products and function as a link between Japan and Europe.

We can realise this because we get all the products in our assortment from our headquarters (SHOWA BOEKI Co., Ltd.) in Osaka. This allows us to order products of the best producers straight out of Japan. We only get the best products and make sure they have the best quality. We are a supplier for mostly restaurants, supermarkets and hotels, but end-users can also get our products at our supermarket in Amsterdam: Japanse Winkel DANK.

Next to somewhat exclusive and in the West relatively unknown brands and products, we also offer a broad range of common products like rice, noodles, alcoholic beverages, sauces and spices. Our own delivery service has cooled transports available, which allows us to supply our customers with frozen products like fish, ramen and ice cream as well.

Of course we also sell all the products for making sushi, like little sachets of soy sauce and ginger, cups and trays, chop-sticks and plastic decorations. For restaurants and hotels we can supply (small) bottles of soy sauce for on tables, mayonnaise and all kinds of ingredients for making all kinds of dishes. We supply large quantities of products as well for supermarkets and we can even attach stickers with translated ingredients (e.g. Dutch or German).
